 *Job Summary:*

We are looking for a Cloudera Platform Engineer to manage day-to-day operations, monitoring, and support of our Big Data Platform on CDP (Cloudera Data Platform). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cloudera ecosystem and will be responsible for production support, platform stability, and operational excellence in a cloud environment.

 *Required Experience:*

4-6 years of experience in Big Data Platform / Cloud Operations / Infrastructure Support roles.

3+ years of hands-on experience with Cloudera ecosystem (CDH / CDP Public & Private Cloud).

 *Technical Skills - Must Have:*

 *1. Cloudera CDPExpertise:*

Strong administration and operational knowledge of CDP services: CDE (Data Engineering), CDW (Data Warehouse), CDF (Data Flow), CAI (AI).Experience with Cloudera Manager, Hue, Impala, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Ranger, Atlas.

Hands-on in service health checks, log analysis, and service restarts.

 *2. Cloud & Infrastructure:*

Good understanding of Cloud platforms - AWS / Azure / GCP basics: IAM, S3 / ADLS / GCS, VPC / VNet, Security Groups, Networking.Familiarity with Linux administration and shell scripting.

 *3. Kubernetes & Containerization:*

Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts - Pod lifecycle, deployments, services, resource requests/limits.Hands-on in pod-level troubleshooting - kubectl logs, describe, exec, resource usage analysis.

 *4. Monitoring & Operations:*

Experience with monitoring & alerting tools - Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch / Azure Monitor, Cloudera Observability.Experience in building dashboards, setting up alerts and responding to incidents.

 *Roles & Responsibilities:*

Execute day-to-day platform operations - health checks, service monitoring, and resource optimization.

Provide L2 Production Support - Handle P2/P3 incidents, perform initial triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and escalate to L3/vendor as per SLA.

Support deployments, upgrades, and patching activities for CDP platform and related services.

Perform platform monitoring, issue triage, and proactive alert resolution to ensure high availability.Follow and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Runbooks, and Knowledge Base articles.

Collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams for platform onboarding and access management (Ranger policies).Manage tickets via ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow).

Participate in on-call rotation / shift support if required.

 *Good to Have:*

Cloudera Certification (CCA / CCP / CDP Administrator).

Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python.Knowledge of ITIL process - Incident, Problem, Change Management.Experience in auto-scaling, cost optimization in cloud.

Soft Skills:Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently in a remote setup and as part of a distributed team.
