Cluster General Manager

Role purpose

Improve the performance of an explicitly assigned group of hotels while building consistent standards, stronger property leadership and efficient shared resources.

Scope and reporting

Vietnam or another approved cluster. Reports to the CEO or designated Regional executive. Leads assigned GMs and coordinates shared functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the cluster operating plan and consolidated performance; identify property-specific revenue, cost and guest-experience priorities.
• Coach and hold GMs accountable for agreed outcomes; assign decision rights, review action plans and resolve cross-property constraints.
• Coordinate commercial execution with Sales/Revenue/Marketing and protect the profitability and positioning of each property.
• Allocate shared talent and resources transparently; develop succession and critical-role coverage without destabilizing individual hotels.
• Monitor service, safety, asset condition and financial controls; spread effective improvements and verify recurring issues are resolved.
• Lead operational readiness for assigned openings or transitions; support owners and franchise operations within the approved mandate.

Candidate requirements

• Typically 10+ years in hospitality, with successful GM experience and demonstrated oversight of multiple properties or comparable portfolio responsibility.
• Proven improvement in hotel P&L and leadership capability; experience with resorts, turnaround or openings according to cluster needs.
• Ability to balance owner expectations, local conditions and group standards. Professional English and readiness for regular property travel.

Compensation and assignment

USD 4,000 - 7,000 per month plus performance bonus, subject to approved offer. Country coverage, number of properties and travel requirements must be specified before appointment.

First 90 days and success measures

Days 1–30: assess each property and management team. Days 31–60: agree property plans and shared priorities. Days 61–90: review measurable delivery and succession gaps. Proposed measures: cluster/property profit, revenue performance, service consistency and GM execution.
