Job Overview

HRPlacers is hiring an experienced Cluster IT Manager – Plant Operations for an established industrial group with its Indian headquarters in Mumbai and manufacturing operations in Nigeria.

The position requires a hands-on IT professional with strong experience in network infrastructure, IT operations, troubleshooting, security systems and IT project coordination across manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure: Manage, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routers, switches, wireless networks, VLANs, routing protocols and VPN connectivity.
• Firewall & Security: Configure and maintain firewalls, preferably SonicWall or Fortinet, including security policies, access controls and secure network connectivity.
• Plant IT Operations: Ensure smooth functioning of IT infrastructure across manufacturing plants, offices and operational facilities.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, operating systems, network connectivity and other IT-related issues.
• CCTV & Biometric Systems: Manage and support CCTV surveillance, biometric attendance and access-control systems.
• IT Projects: Coordinate infrastructure installations, network upgrades, new site setups and IT implementation projects.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with hardware suppliers, internet service providers and external technical vendors for timely resolution of issues.
• Documentation: Maintain network diagrams, IT asset records, configuration details and infrastructure documentation.
• Operational Coordination: Work closely with plant management and internal teams to ensure reliable IT services and minimal operational downtime.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, system administration or plant IT operations.
• Strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, VLANs, LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols such as OSPF, STP and related routing and switching technologies.
• Practical experience with firewalls, VPNs and network security.
• Experience managing CCTV, biometric attendance and access-control systems.
• Experience in IT infrastructure projects, hardware/software support and vendor coordination.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, problem-solving and team coordination skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or PMP will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working in manufacturing plants, industrial facilities or multi-location operations.
• Strong hands-on technical background rather than purely administrative IT management.
• Comfortable visiting plant locations and resolving infrastructure issues on-site.
• Capable of independently managing IT operations, infrastructure projects and technical support.
• Professional communication skills and willingness to work in an international environment.

Overseas Assignment

The hiring company has its Indian headquarters in Mumbai, where recruitment, documentation and overseas joining formalities will be coordinated.

The actual work location is Nigeria. Candidates currently based in India, the Gulf region or Africa who are willing to relocate to Nigeria are encouraged to apply.
