About the Opportunity

Most CMA internships look the same. You join, you're handed a spreadsheet, and fifteen months later you leave with experience that doesn't translate into practice.

At Gracia Global Advisory LLP, we've built our internship programme differently. Our CMA trainees work on real accounting, finance, taxation and advisory assignments, with exposure to clients and experienced professionals from early in their training.

For this opening, you will be deputed full-time at our client's office in Andheri (West), Mumbai, where you will get hands-on exposure to day-to-day finance and accounting operations while being supported by Gracia's senior accounts and advisory team.

This is a paid, 15-month CMA internship designed for candidates who want practical experience that builds a strong foundation for a career in finance and advisory.

What You Will Work On

As a CMA Trainee deputed at the client's office, your responsibilities may include:

Accounting & Finance

• Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Pass journal entries and maintain accounting records.
• Assist with ledger scrutiny and reconciliation.
• Support preparation and maintenance of financial records.
• Assist with month-end and periodic closing activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist with vendor invoice processing and verification.
• Maintain vendor and customer ledgers.
• Support payment processing and reconciliation.
• Assist with invoice raising and receivables tracking.
• Follow up internally on outstanding accounting items.

Banking & Reconciliations

• Assist with daily bank reconciliation.
• Record and reconcile banking transactions.
• Support petty cash management and reconciliation.
• Assist with other routine banking and finance activities.

Taxation & Compliance

• Assist the senior team with GST and TDS-related workings.
• Support collection and preparation of data required for statutory compliance.
• Assist with documentation and reconciliation for tax and compliance matters.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily/weekly MIS and finance reports as required.
• Coordinate with the client's team for accounting and finance-related information.
• Coordinate with Gracia's head office and senior team on assigned matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

Depending on your performance, interest and live requirements, you may also receive exposure to:

• GST advisory and litigation
• Direct taxation
• Tax advisory and planning
• Virtual CFO engagements
• MIS and financial reporting
• Zoho Finance implementations and automation projects

Your exposure will be based on live client requirements and your learning interests.

Exam leaves: Your CMA examinations are important. Exam leave will be provided to support your preparation.

Hands-on work: You will work on actual accounting, reconciliation, compliance and reporting activities rather than only administrative or observational tasks.

Broader finance exposure: In addition to your client assignment, you may get exposure to taxation, advisory, virtual CFO engagements and technology-led finance implementations based on live work.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for:

• CMA students registered with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
• Candidates looking for a 15-month practical training internship.
• Candidates with a strong interest in accounting, taxation, finance and advisory.
• Candidates who are comfortable working independently at a client location.
• Good working knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
• Good communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Candidates based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai are preferred.
