CMM Engineer ( Mechanics )

About the role

GPV Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is seeking a CMM Engineer (Mechanics) to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Mueang Samut Prakan, Samut Prakan. This is a pivotal position within our mechanical engineering operations, where you will take responsibility for coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operations and precision measurement activities. As a CMM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality control and dimensional accuracy across our manufacturing processes, directly contributing to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to conduct precise dimensional measurements and inspections of mechanical components and assemblies
• Develop and program CMM inspection routines and measurement procedures in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards
• Generate detailed inspection reports and quality documentation, identifying deviations and non-conformities
• Collaborate with production and mechanical engineering teams to troubleshoot measurement-related issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of CMM equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurement results
• Analyse measurement data and trends to provide insights for process improvement and quality enhancement
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality procedures, and customer specifications throughout all measurement activities
• Support process validation and capability studies utilising CMM measurement data
• Train and mentor junior technical staff on proper CMM operation and measurement techniques

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience operating and programming coordinate measuring machines (CMM) in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, dimensional analysis, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficiency with CMM software and measurement data analysis tools
• Experience in PCDMIS (Hexagon) CMM program.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems, ISO standards, and inspection procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high-precision equipment and measurements
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve measurement inconsistencies
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across departments
• Experience with 3D measurement technology and inspection report generation is desirable
• Certification in CMM operation or quality assurance is advantageous
