Position: CMM Operator
Department: Quality / Metrology

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional inspection.
• Set up components, fixtures, probes, and workpieces correctly.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Run/edit CMM programs and analyze measurement results.
• Prepare and maintain CMM inspection reports and quality records.
• Perform probe calibration and basic CMM maintenance.
• Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate with Production/Quality teams for corrective action.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of GD&T, datums, tolerances, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with CMM software such as ZEISS CALYPSO, PC-DMIS, or similar.
• Knowledge of Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.
• Good attention to detail and measurement accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of calibration and metrology.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or related field.
• Typically 23+ years of CMM experience for experienced positions
