CMM Operator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM Operator / Programmer proficient in PC-DMIS software to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision-machined components. You will ensure all parts comply with engineering drawings, CAD models, and strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• PC-DMIS Programming & Optimization: Write, modify, and troubleshoot automated CMM measurement routines using PC-DMIS software using both 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Dimensional Inspection: Perform first-piece, in-process, and final dimensional inspections of complex components.
• Part Alignment & Setup: Qualify and calibrate probe tips, and perform precise 2D/3D part alignments and fixturing on the CMM bed.
• Blueprint & GD&T Analysis: Accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical sheets, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
• Reporting & Documentation: Compile measurement data, generate comprehensive quality inspection reports, and document non-conformance (NC) issues.
• Collaboration & Maintenance: Assist production teams with root-cause analysis for deviations. Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on CMM equipment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience as a CMM operator and programmer.
• Software: Proven expertise in PC-DMIS software is strictly required.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings and applying GD&T principles.
• Equipment Knowledge: Experience operating Hexagon or equivalent CMM machines (Fixed bed or Portable arms).
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, ITI, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
