CMM Programmer

Job Responsibility

• Create, modify, validate, and approve and maintain CMM programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T requirements, using Mitutoyo MCOSMOS or similar software.
• Ensure all CMM programs are properly verified, updated, and revision-controlled following engineering or process changes.
• Prevent the usage of obsolete, unverified, or incorrect CMM programs.
• Accountable for ensuring inspection methodologies and measurement systems are fit for purpose and compliant with customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot CMM programs, probing, and measurement issues.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) documentations as per AS9102 requirements.
• Improves inspection efficiency, error reduction, automation opportunities, and cycle time optimization.
• Ensure proper machine setup including alignment, probe qualification, environmental conditions, and fixture verification.
• Guide QA technicians and engineers on CMM operations and measurement techniques.
• Work closely with QA, Engineering, and Production teams, with good communication skills.
• Support initiatives to reduce customer complaints, internal defects, and quality escape incidents.
• Perform other duties assigned by QA Manager.

Job Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent; or 2 to 3 years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in CMM programming within precision manufacturing, semiconductor, aerospace.
• Hands-on experience with Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge and application of GD&T
• Familiar with CAD models and engineering software (SolidWorks)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
