- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate measurement procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and improve quality standards in production processes.
- Conduct routine calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments to uphold accuracy and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and aerospace quality standards.
- Document inspection results meticulously in accordance with quality assurance protocols and generate detailed reports for review.
- Ensure all measurements align with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards and customer-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience programming CMMs with PC-DMIS software within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, dimensional inspection techniques, and quality standards including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CAD integration with CMM programming tools.
- Hands-on experience operating measuring instruments like height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, CNC operations, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection results clearly.
