Key Responsibilities

To oversee and coordinate the effective functioning of CMS/Qalam/LMS and associated academic systems, ensuring seamless management of academic processes, accurate data and results, effective user support, system enhancement, and coordination with relevant departments for efficient delivery of academic services.

• Oversee and manage all modules of Qalam and LMS.

• Efficiently manage semester-wise academic activities on Qalam, including study scheme updates, course offerings, registration, class generation, timetable, attendance, add/drop and retake/improvement processes.

• Set up blocks, modules, disciplines, components, learning methods, and configure topic-wise study schemes for MBBS.

• Create department-provided weekly timetable entries, generate attendance rosters, and upload MBBS students' biometric attendance.

• Assist faculty in completing their Qalam profiles, gradebooks, assessment weightages, histogram and result generation.

• Assign roles and privileges for created courses on CMS/LMS.

• Enable faculty and student surveys twice a semester.

• Assist the DC Exam and HODs in DBS and FBS in result-related processes to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely completion of academic results.

• Manage student support schemes, including scholarships, by guiding students on eligibility, application procedures, documentation, deadlines, and resolving related queries in coordination with relevant departments.

• Providing essential information regarding Qalam/CMS/LMS to the students.

• Provide functional support to students, faculty, and staff regarding CMS/LMS usage and troubleshooting.

• Gather school requirements and coordinate with ICT Dte. to incorporate them into Qalam.

• Manage the website content of NSHS website on WordPress.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or similar educational platforms.

• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and best practices for managing user data within the CMS.

Term and Conditions

Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

• 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.

• NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.

• In process of pursuing a required degree.

• Medically unfit.

Candidates serving in Govt departments or Armed forces will be required to furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective parent department / organization.

Internal candidates must obtain prior consent from their respective institution/department before applying for the position.
