Specific Accountabilities (not all-inclusive)  Lead design and development of innovative mechanical tools and technologies, from concept to implementation.  Prepare and review engineering drawings, analyses, and documentation in alignment with project and quality standards.  Collaborate cross-functionally to support engineering initiatives for company tools and other equipment as required.  Mentor and train colleagues to strengthen product knowledge and engineering practices across the team.  Troubleshoot technical challenges, propose effective solutions, and drive continuous product improvement.  Maintain accurate project and activity records, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering

Manager.  Support other departments with engineering expertise and project input when needed.  Ensure all work complies with the Company's Quality System, HSE standards, and best engineering practices. Qualifications  Bachelor or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited institution).  Minimum 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.  Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D software, including stress and fluid analysis tools.  Strong drafting ability with excellent knowledge of GD  Hands-on experience with mechanical design and product development lifecycle.  Strong foundation in mechanical systems, including stress analysis, material selection, and performance under high-pressure, high temperature, and high-vibration environments.  Familiarity with SW-PDM Vault and revision control platforms.  Ability to review and approve designs/drawings produced by junior engineer and draftsmen.  Solid understanding of materials science, machining and manufacturing processes.  Excellent documentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.  Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to design quality and process discipline.  Quick learner with a proactive work ethic, strong problem-solving ability, and focus on results. Assets:  Design experience with MWD / LWD and/or Mud Drilling Motors  Field experience in oil and gas drilling operations.  Knowledge of Rotary Steerable System (RSS)  Familiarity with intellectual property processes (patents, design registrations, etc.).
