• Teaching and Learning
• Plan and deliver computing lessons for students in the Primary School in accordance with the school's Discovery curriculum.
• Develop engaging learning experiences that build digital literacy, computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Teach age-appropriate technology concepts including: o Basic computing and digital literacy skills o Microsoft Office applications and productivity tools o File management and digital organisation o Keyboarding and document production o Block-based programming and introductory coding concepts o Robotics and physical computing o Introduction to Artificial Intelligence concepts and applications
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Project-Based Learning and Curriculum Development
• Collaborate with Educational Technology and curriculum leaders to design, review, and refine project-based learning experiences across the Primary School.
• Ensure appropriate progression of technology skills and project deliverables across grade levels.
• Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate technology meaningfully into cross-curricular learning opportunities where appropriate.
• Artificial Intelligence Education
• Teach foundational AI concepts in an age-appropriate manner.
• Introduce students to responsible and ethical uses of AI technologies.
• Facilitate student understanding of: o AI prompting and effective communication with AI tools o AI limitations and hallucinations o Bias in AI systems o Social and ethical implications of emerging technologies
• Stay informed of developments in educational AI and recommend appropriate classroom applications.
• Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Care
• Provide pastoral care and support for students in accordance with school policies and expectations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Promote responsible digital citizenship and safe technology practices.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and wellbeing.
• Educational Technology and Device Support
• Work collaboratively with the IT Department and Educational Technology team to support the effective use of student devices.
• Assist with ensuring Primary School devices are properly configured, synchronised, and updated with approved software and applications.
• Identify and report technical issues affecting teaching and learning.
• Support the adoption and effective use of school technology platforms and digital tools.
• Co-Curricular Activities
• Develop and lead technology-related co-curricular programmes and activities.
• Facilitate student participation in activities such as robotics, coding clubs, STEM challenges, maker projects, and technology competitions.
• Encourage student innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving beyond the classroom. BASIC QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching qualification and certification where required.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience teaching technology-related subjects at the primary or elementary level.
• Experience delivering project-based learning programmes.
• Experience using Apple devices and educational software in a school environment.

EXPERTISE

• Strong understanding of digital literacy and foundational computing concepts.
• Ability to teach: o Microsoft Office applications o Block-based programming environments o Educational robotics platforms o Basic AI literacy concepts o Digital citizenship and online safety
• Familiarity with Apple ecosystem devices and software.
• Working knowledge of common educational technology platforms and classroom technology tools.
• General understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and networked environments.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational abilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience teaching STEM, robotics, coding, or maker education programmes.
• Experience with educational robotics platforms such as VEX, LEGO Education, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with emerging educational AI tools and technologies.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese.
• Experience working in an international or bilingual school environment.
