Employment Type:  Full-Time (Contract per semester, 4 months, renewable)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MUET lecturer to join our language centre in Skudai, Johor. This is a fully on-site role delivering comprehensive training across all four MUET components:  Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing .

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical classroom instruction for all MUET modules, covering exam strategies, marking criteria, and skill-building
• Develop lesson plans, slides, practice exercises, and mock exam papers
• Grade assignments and mock tests; track student progress and adjust teaching accordingly
• Provide after-class consultation, homework support, and regular performance feedback
• Participate in curriculum development and teaching research
• Support intensive sessions and other academic activities as scheduled

Work Schedule

• Office Hours:  8:30 AM – 6:30 PM (2-hour lunch break)
• Evening Duty:  1–2 evenings/week (7–9 PM) – compensatory time off provided
• Teaching Load:  16–20 fixed hours/week (physical classes only)

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly salary RM 3,000 – RM 4,000 (basic + performance bonus tied to student assignment completion & pass rates)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher (English / Education / Linguistics preferred)
• Minimum  1 year of MUET teaching experience  in a classroom setting
• In-depth knowledge of MUET exam structure, scoring system, and syllabus
• Clear pronunciation, strong classroom management, and independent material-development skills
• Mandarin-speaking preferred  – to better communicate with Chinese-speaking students
• TESOL / CELTA / TEFL certification is an advantage
• Personal MUET high Band score or Malaysia study experience is a plus
