Basic Function / General Description:

• Electrical design activities from concept to product release for elevator system.
• On-site support for product debugging and qualification base on Otis standard.
• Coaching and leading junior engineers.

Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

As an electrical engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Translate the product/code requirement to the engineer design specification.
• Develop elevator electrical system architecture on power/communication/grounding etc.
• Design the elevator system concept with pros/cons analysis
• Digest the breakdown of the system requirement/DRS and deliver the requirement to the subsystem or components of the elevator.
• Demonstrate design with MASC (modeling/analysis/simulation/calculation)
• Design of cable of the elevator system.
• Develop and execute the test plan
• Verify/qualify the design
• Trouble shooting in the lab, hoistway or jobsite.
• Documentation of engineering works according to Otis product development process (e.g.: requirement, drawings, test reports, user’s manuals etc)
• Coordinate with other functions to ensure program success
• Perform other duties as assigned and requested

Work experience & skills requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of design experience with Master’s degree or 5 years with Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Design experience on

• Architecture of complex electrical system on power, grounding, communication, etc.
• Cable design for complex electrical system based on parameter.
• Wiring diagram of complex electrical system.
• Working experience in global company or elevator industry is preferred

Language:

• CET-4 and above. Good in written and oral English

Computer Skills:

• ECAD tool for wiring diagram （E3 or Eplan is preferred）
• Microsoft office tool set

Other Preferred Experiences:

• Electrical circuit design, Component selection, qualification, EMI/EMC related working experience.
• General knowledge on Elevator industry is preferred
• Experiences in VF Application
• Familiar with the Safety Certification by TUV/CSA is preferred.
