• Solid grasp of fundamental operations research principles with basic knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations. Capable of developing mathematical models for business problems.
• Familiarity with classic OR models and algorithms, including practical experience with one or more of the following:
• Exact algorithms: Linear Programming (LP), Integer Programming (IP), Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), Nonlinear Programming (NLP).
• Heuristic algorithms: Genetic Algorithm, Simulated Annealing, Variable Neighborhood Search (practical implementation required).
• Exact solution methods: Branch and Bound, Column Generation, Branch and Price (practical implementation required).
• Proficiency in Python/Java/C++, knowledge of data structures, and adherence to clean coding practices.
• Hands-on experience with commercial optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, LINGO). Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in computer science, numerical optimization, or parallel/distributed computing.
• Experience handling large-scale or complex optimization models.
• Winners of mathematical modeling competitions.
