• Develop, execute, and monitor the laboratory's analysis plan, R&D project roadmap, and safety management protocols.
• Lead the team in conducting comprehensive physical, electrical, and defect characterization on silicon wafer raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Provide authoritative test reports and expert data interpretation.
• Develop, optimize, and validate new analytical and testing methodologies to support the evaluation and integration of new processes and materials.
• Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and functional development of all laboratory precision instruments to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and traceability.
• Collaborate closely with Process Engineering, R&D, and Quality departments to provide rapid and accurate root-cause analysis for production line issues. Deliver critical data-driven insights to support process improvement and yield enhancement initiatives.
• Manage laboratory team building, technical training, budgeting, and consumables inventory.

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor materials or silicon wafer analysis and testing.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in laboratory management or technical team leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of silicon wafer material properties, defect physics, and analytical principles.
• Proficiency in operating and interpreting data from at least three mainstream materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM/EDS, TEM, AFM, XPS, FTIR, SRP, SPV,
• Strong capabilities in data analysis, problem root-causing, and experimental design.
• Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
• Excellent cross-departmental communication and project management skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable process improvement recommendations.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, with a high sense of responsibility and safety awareness.
• Ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Strong passion for learning new technologies and methodologies.
• Experience in a third-party testing laboratory or a central/corporate laboratory of a large-scale enterprise is highly preferred.
