About the role

We are seeking a Chinese Interpreter to join our administrative and office support team at our Doi Hao, Chiang Mai location. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in bridging communication between our organisation and Chinese-speaking stakeholders, partners, and clients. The interpreter will provide essential language support across multiple departments and functions, ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication. This role is integral to our operational efficiency and the success of our international business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely Chinese language interpretation services for meetings, negotiations, and business discussions
• Translate written documents, reports, correspondence, and technical materials from Chinese to English and vice versa
• Assist in facilitating communication between company staff and Chinese-speaking visitors, partners, and clients
• Support administrative functions related to international business operations and communications
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information
• Attend meetings and events as required to provide on-site interpretation services
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure clear understanding of technical terminology and industry-specific language
• Assist with cultural liaison activities to promote better understanding between company staff and international partners

What we're looking for

• Fluent proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages
• Proven experience as an interpreter or translator in a professional business environment
• Strong understanding of biotechnology, scientific terminology, or related technical fields
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in translation and interpretation work
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Professional demeanour and excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of cultural differences and ability to navigate cross-cultural business interactions sensitively
• Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential information discretely
• Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and ad-hoc interpretation requirements
