About the role

This role involves planning and controlling the procurement of vegetables and fruits from domestic production sources (and international sources if applicable). You will select and develop suppliers to ensure quality, quantity, and appropriate pricing, while negotiating prices, delivery terms, and credit with sellers. The position requires monitoring product quality and controlling costs to meet company targets, analyzing price trends, seasonal factors, and market demand for efficient procurement planning, and coordinating with warehouse, production, and sales departments to ensure continuous product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control the procurement of vegetables and fruits from domestic sources (and international sources if applicable)
• Select and develop suppliers to ensure quality, quantity, and appropriate pricing
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and credit with sellers
• Inspect product quality and control costs to meet company targets
• Analyze price trends, seasonal factors, and market demand for efficient procurement planning
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales departments to ensure continuous product availability
• Review and approve procurement documents (PO, Invoice, GRN, etc.)
• Monitor and regularly evaluate supplier performance
• Manage the procurement team and oversee employee performance within the department

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement of agricultural products, vegetables, or fruits
• Knowledge of seasonal factors and domestic vegetable/fruit production sources
• Negotiation skills and ability to build good relationships with sellers
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze price and cost data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Data analysis skills in cost and pricing
• Knowledge of agricultural product quality standards (GAP, GMP)
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems on the spot
