Contract Duration: 6 Months Location: Malaysia Employment Type: Fixed-Term Project About the Role We are looking for a Trilingual Translator who is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Bahasa Malaysia to support a 6-month project in Malaysia. The role will focus mainly on engineering and technical translation, as well as providing on-site interpretation between Chinese-speaking project teams and local Malaysian employees, contractors, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate Chinese ↔ English ↔ Bahasa Malaysia translation and interpretation. Support engineering, technical, construction, and project-related translation work. Provide on-site interpretation during meetings, project discussions, training sessions, and daily operations. Translate technical documents, manuals, reports, specifications, procedures, emails, and other project materials. Facilitate communication between Chinese-speaking management/project teams and local Malaysian teams. Assist with technical discussions and ensure information is communicated accurately between all parties. Attend project meetings and provide consecutive interpretation when required. Support the project team with general translation and communication tasks. Maintain confidentiality of project information and documents. Perform other translation-related duties as required by the project. Requirements Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong verbal and written communication skills in all three languages. Previous experience in technical translation, engineering, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or industrial projects is highly preferred. Experience providing on-site interpretation is an advantage. Good understanding of technical terminology and the ability to quickly learn project-specific vocabulary. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate translations. Able to work effectively with Chinese and Malaysian teams. Willing to work on-site and support project activities when required. Able to commit to the full 6-month project period.
