4. Job description

(Just after hiring) The successful candidate will undertake educational and research duties at the

undergraduate and graduate levels, including teaching in Japanese, admissions, and university

administration. Under the mentorship of Professor Satoshi Maeda, the candidate will develop quantum

chemical calculation methods or apply quantum chemical calculations to understand and predict chemical

reactions, structures, properties, and related phenomena.

9. Compensation

Salary is based on National University Corporation Hokkaido University Salary Regulations for Faculty

Subject to Annual Salary System. Discretionary Work System for specialized work based on consent (*)

or Fixed Working hours system will be applied. (* Determined as working 7 hours and 45 minutes per

day.). For health insurance, etc., the employed join the employee pension insurance, mutual association

of the ministry of education, culture, sports, science and technology, employment insurance, and workers'

accident compensation insurance. As a measure to prevent second-hand smoke, smoking is prohibited on

the premises except for specific outdoor smoking areas.
