About the role

The Warehouse Manager oversees the direction, strategic planning, and operations of the warehouse department in alignment with organisational objectives. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, dispatch, and delivery of raw materials, packaging, and finished products with accuracy and in compliance with FIFO/FEFO systems.

Key responsibilities

• Set direction, plan strategy, and control warehouse operations to align with organisational goals
• Oversee receipt, storage, dispatch, and delivery of materials and products with accuracy and in compliance with FIFO/FEFO systems
• Control and manage inventory levels efficiently, prevent stock shortages, and reduce dead stock and product deterioration
• Review and approve cycle count and physical count activities to ensure accuracy against system data
• Coordinate strategically with production, quality, procurement, and sales departments for smooth supply chain management
• Control and manage warehouse and transportation costs, and analyse and propose cost reduction approaches
• Ensure warehouse staff comply strictly with food quality standards including GHP, HACCP, HALAL, organic agriculture standards, and relevant legislation
• Manage safety, occupational health, and environmental (SHE) standards within the warehouse
• Set policies, targets, and KPIs; assess performance; and continuously develop the capabilities of team leaders and warehouse staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management

About you

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 10 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics in the food industry
• Previous experience managing warehouse operations
• Deep knowledge and understanding of food quality and safety standards (GHP, HACCP, HALAL, IFOAM, ISO22000, FFSC 22000)
• Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems
• Vision, strong leadership, and team management skills, including negotiation abilities
• Ability to use English for work-related documentation, emails, purchase orders, standards specifications, and related tasks (reading and writing proficiency)
