Reporting relationships (if any): Quality Assurance Team, China Merchandising Coordinator, Production Manager Operations, China QC

Location: Shanghai / Hangzhou / Suzhou, China

Purpose of position:

• To manage the vendor partnersin China
• Forward planning from capacity through to finished goods
• Successfully completing all responsibilities in a way that is committed to excellent quality standards at every level.

Travel:

• Ordinary business trip in the Yangtze River Delta.
• China Travel may be required (Northand south)

General:

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of garment construction, pattern making & grading.
• Trim & Material knowledge
• Excel proficient

Skills and Specifications:

• Written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
• 5 years's experience in a similarrole.
• Strong understanding of AQL methodology
• Have a strongknowledge of fabrics,trims, garment construction.
• Pattern making knowledge is a plus
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Be exceptionally well organized and quick to react to change.

Key Responsibilities:

Samplingto PPS Approval

QC Inspectors will have visibility of the product at the earliest stage of pre-production for their understanding of the productin work and in advanceof production. To be involvedin sample evaluation with vendors to ensure sample compliance with Zimmermann’s standards and requirements. On-site visits to sample room to work with factories where needed.

Key Performance Indicator -

• To ensure Zimmermann’s commentsare incorporated in pre-production samplesprior to bulk production.
• To work with vendors/factories ensuring a right first-time sampleexecution and escalateforeseeable concerns for discussion and resolutions with the factory
• Using WIP information providedby the product teams, managethe seasonal lead-times and PPS sample making at the vendor level.
• Work with agility and accuracy to help troubleshoot the samplemaking with a critical time-line
• Review sample fit garments in advance of shipping to Zimmermann for fitting

Pre-Production

Participate in vendor pre-production meeting (PPM) vendorto assess style complexity to highlight critical operations for productions & any type of precautionary measures to ensure conformance need is set.

QC Inspections

The QC inspector’s role is to ensure all conduct QC inspections as outlined by Zimmermann QAM. Zimmermann QC will act as a roaming QC and go from vendorto vendor to ensure each vendor is following Zimmermann minimum QC inspection from initial, in-line,final line and final inspection. Inspections may be:

1）Material Inspections: ensurevendors perform a pilot run of all sizes prior to startingbulk manufacturing

2）Inline inspection

The vendorperforms initial checking/inspections of the production line once the bulk manufacturing process has begun prior to finish product exiting the line. CQ will conduct inline inspection at approximately 20% output on key styles as outlines by QAM.

3）End-line Inspection Measurements check

The vendorperforms 100% measurement check in criticalPOMs for all products to ensure the size labels and product specification matches Zimmermann specification for that size. Merchandising Coordinator schedules Zimmermann QC to conduct random measurement check according to our protocol.

4）Final Inspection

The vendors conduct final AQL audits on 100% of all Zimmermann PO’s. The product meets the Zimmermann requirements; in quality, folding, packing & shipping with regards to labels, poly bags, cartons, cartons markings, etc. Merchandising Coordinator schedules Zimmermann QC to schedule inspections on key stylesusing AQL method 2.5 level 3 at 100% packed or 80% packed 20% at finishing. AQL styles will be outlined by QAM based on Production Manager guidance.
