About the role

This role focuses on process optimization and control of core post-treatment processes in titanium dioxide and functional powder production, including ultra-fine grinding, air classification, surface wet/dry coating, drying, and packaging. You will lead the scale-up and commissioning of new projects from laboratory to pilot to ton-scale industrial production, including conventional titanium dioxide and functional/photocatalytic titanium dioxide. You will work on the production line to solve technical challenges such as powder agglomeration, uneven particle size distribution, uneven coating, poor dispersibility, and excessive oil absorption. You will be responsible for patent applications, equipment capacity optimization, energy efficiency improvements, and equipment modifications for core powder equipment including air mills, high-energy sand mills, large coating kettles, and flash dryers. You will develop and update production line SOPs, process cards, and material balance sheets to ensure process stability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize and control process parameters for post-treatment processes including ultra-fine grinding, air classification, surface wet/dry coating, drying, and packaging
• Lead new project design and on-site commissioning from laboratory scale through pilot scale to ton-scale industrial production
• Solve production bottlenecks on the production line including powder agglomeration, uneven particle size distribution, uneven coating, poor dispersibility, and excessive oil absorption
• Write and file core technology patents to establish company intellectual property systems
• Release production capacity limits, reduce energy consumption, and modify core powder equipment including air mills, high-energy sand mills, large coating kettles, and flash dryers
• Write and update production line SOPs, process cards, and material balance sheets to ensure process execution stability and safety

About you

• PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Colloid and Interface Chemistry, or related fields (excellent Master's degree holders may be considered)
• Background in photocatalytic materials, titanium dioxide modification, or powder engineering research and production
• 3-5+ years of experience in titanium dioxide, inorganic pigments, ultra-fine calcium carbonate, barium salts, or other large-scale inorganic functional powder factories in process engineering or production technology roles
• Proficiency in industrial-scale control of inorganic powder surface and interface modification (coating/encapsulation)
• Skilled in operating principles, parameter adjustment, and maintenance of industrial-grade ultra-fine grinding and fine classification equipment
• Ability to identify and optimize basic process drawings (PID, equipment layout diagrams)
• Experience with new powder production line commissioning, or familiarity with photocatalytic materials and nano-scale powder processing is preferred
• Practical work style, problem-solving orientation, and excellent on-site coordination and communication skills
