Role Description The QA Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi. The QA Engineer will design and execute test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications, ensuring product quality across functional, regression, and integration testing. Responsibilities include identifying, documenting, and tracking defects; collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and designers; and verifying that new features meet requirements and user expectations. The QA Engineer will also participate in sprint ceremonies, support continuous integration and delivery pipelines with automated tests, and contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in software testing fundamentals, including creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Candidates should possess skills in manual testing for web and mobile applications, with attention to detail and clear defect reporting.
• Candidates should possess skills in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Candidates should possess skills in working with version control and CI/CD tools to integrate tests into development pipelines.
• Candidates should possess skills in analyzing requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating clearly in written and spoken English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in agile environments and familiarity with issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) is beneficial.
• Understanding of performance, usability, and security testing concepts is a plus.
