Hong Kong Education City Limited (EdCity) is a wholly-owned company of the Government of HKSAR. Our portal, EdCity.hk, is a one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong which incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services, and promotes the use of information technology (I.T.) in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning. We are now looking for a high caliber professional to join our dynamic team in the following position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for large-scale events, conferences and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s objectives and brand identity;
• Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of assigned events, taking ownership of project schedules, budgets, procurement, logistics, production, risk management, deliverables and on-site operations;
• Work closely with internal teams, external partners and service providers to develop and deliver event programmes, including conferences, exhibitions, award ceremonies, workshops and networking sessions;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and strategic partners, and develop effective ways to integrate their content and activations into event programmes;
• Manage event communications and promotional materials, including event websites, registration pages, email campaigns, social media content and other marketing collateral;
• Conduct post-event evaluations, prepare performance reports and identify actionable insights to improve future events;
• Conduct research into education and technology trends, audience needs and market developments to identify opportunities for event growth, programme enhancement and innovation;
• Perform other duties and support corporate projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, Communications or a related discipline;
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in event marketing, event management, marketing communications or a related field;
• Proven experience in independently planning and delivering large-scale events, conferences, exhibitions or promotional campaigns;
• Strong end-to-end project management capabilities, including experience in managing budgets, schedules, vendors, event logistics and on-site operations;
• Solid hands-on experience in event promotion, audience acquisition, digital marketing and social media management;
• Experience in working with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, external partners, agencies and production vendors;
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines;
• Strong creative and problem-solving abilities, with the agility to respond effectively to unexpected situations and changing event requirements;
• Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the education and education technology sectors is preferred;
• Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Willingness to work outside regular office hours when required for event preparation and on-site execution.
