Position Summary

Barfield Health Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals interested in beginning a rewarding career in healthcare through our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class opportunity. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to develop the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to provide quality resident care while learning the importance of dignity, respect, compassion, and teamwork in a long-term care setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene, as permitted by training and certification status.
• Support residents with mobility, positioning, and transfers according to established safety procedures and supervision requirements.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents.
• Communicate residents' needs, concerns, and changes in condition to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Treat every resident with dignity, kindness, patience, and respect.
• Follow facility policies, infection-control procedures, and resident safety guidelines.
• Participate in required CNA training, coursework, clinical experiences, and competency evaluations.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, and other healthcare team members to promote excellent resident care.

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to meet applicable training, physical, background-screening, and other employment requirements.

Previous healthcare experience is a plus but is not necessarily required. Applicants must meet the applicable eligibility requirements for the CNA training program.
