Position Overview

Luna Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide direct, hands-on care to residents while supporting their daily living needs and promoting dignity, comfort, and overall well-being.

As a CNA, you will work under the direction of licensed nursing staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, toileting, and ambulation
• Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, and report abnormalities to nursing staff
• Observe resident behavior, mood, and physical condition, reporting any changes promptly to the supervising nurse
• Safely transfer residents between beds, wheelchairs, and other surfaces using proper lifting and transfer techniques
• Maintain resident hygiene, including oral care, incontinence care, and changing bed linens as needed
• Assist with meal service and provide support with feeding when required
• Accurately document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs, concerns, and changes in condition
• Follow safety protocols to prevent falls, injuries, and other risks to residents
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of New Mexico, in good standing with no findings on the Nurse Aide Registry
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a healthcare environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to observe, report, and respond appropriately to resident needs
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality, resident-centered care
