CNA

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in resident condition

• Assist with feeding and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration

• Reposition and transfer residents safely using proper body mechanics and equipment

• Support residents' comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being

• Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner

• Communicate observations and concerns to nursing staff promptly

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment

• Follow all infection control and safety protocols

• Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Iowa

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred, but not required

• CPR certification a plus

• Strong communication skills and a genuine compassion for elderly and disabled residents

• Ability to work 2nd shift and meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, standing, walking for extended periods)

• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
