Nursing Assistant Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice care. This role is crucial in ensuring patients receive high-quality care and assistance with daily activities. The Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of registered nurses and assist in delivering both acute and chronic care to diverse patient populations.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient environments by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and concerns.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records as required.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
• Experience in acute care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with geriatric care practices and hospice care principles is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting patient dignity and privacy.

Job Types: Full-time, PRN

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
