CNA Instructor

Overview

Caribou Adult Education is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor to help prepare adult learners for careers in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and deliver engaging curriculum content aligned with accreditation standards and healthcare regulations
• Conduct classroom lectures, online instruction, and simulation-based training to enhance student learning outcomes
• Supervise clinical practice sessions in hospital settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and educational objectives
• Assess student performance through documentation review, skills demonstrations, and written examinations
• Mentor students from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing guidance on patient care plans, medical terminology, and healthcare procedures
• Collaborate with college faculty and healthcare partners to design innovative teaching strategies using LMS platforms like Blackboard and learning technology tools
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, clinical hours, and compliance documentation in accordance with educational standards

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered State of Maine RN License
• Minimum two years of RN experience, including at least one year in a long-term care facility
• Previous instruction or training experience
• Valid Maine DOE Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) authorization
