We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team during daytime shifts. Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR systems).
• Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely patient transfers using appropriate transfer methods and safe manual handling practices.
• Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management.
• Follow aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infections.
• Document patient observations and care provided meticulously within medical documentation systems like Epic or Cerner.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
• Prior experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) for accurate documentation.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize safe lifting practices during patient transfers.
• Strong communication skills for effective caregiver-patient interactions and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols, including aseptic technique and infectious disease care standards.
