Overview

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carrier Mills, IL. We are currently hiring for both day and evening shifts, with multiple CNA positions available.

• Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Day Shift Openings: 1–2 Positions
• Evening Shift: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Evening Shift Openings: 2–3 Positions
• Pay Rate: $18.00–$24.50 per hour, based on experience
• Location: Carrier Mills, IL

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to residents.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to the nursing team.
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and other resident information as assigned.
• Assist with meal service, feeding, hydration, and snacks as needed.
• Help residents with daily routines and evening preparations to ensure comfort and well-being.
• Maintain clean, comfortable, and organized resident rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Follow individualized resident care plans and instructions from licensed nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and facility safety guidelines.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and overall well-being.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Ensure continuity of care by communicating important resident updates during shift changes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Illinois.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents with mobility and transfers.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Must be available to work the assigned 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift.
