CNC Field Service Technician

Duties

• Perform installation, calibration, and commissioning of CNC machinery and associated automation systems at client sites.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues using schematics, electrical blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and sensors.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, industrial controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and electrical instrumentation.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as sensors, motors, drives, relays, switches, o rings, seals, and calibration devices.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering troubleshooting manuals to identify root causes efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients to provide technical support, training on system operation, and guidance on safety procedures following electrical safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial electrician work or industrial maintenance with a focus on CNC or automation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with electrical diagnostics including troubleshooting electrical systems using schematics and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial controls, sensors, calibration techniques, and electrical instrumentation.
• Ability to read P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), schematics, electrical blueprints, and engineering drawings such as AutoCAD files.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures for high voltage and low voltage environments.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in diverse industrial settings.
• Valid drivers license
• Experience with Mazak CNC a plus
