CNC Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator

J P Forrest & Son are sub contract engineers specialising in medium-heavy fabricated and machined components such as gearbox housings, main frames and sub-assemblies to industries including Rail, Oil and Gas, Steel making, Renewable Energy, Mining and Quarrying.

You will be required to program, set up and operate a large 5-axis CNC horizontal boring machine, milling , drilling and boring one-off or small batch quantities of steel fabrications or castings to very close tolerances.

This is a highly skilled position therefore significant recent experience of this type of work is essential. You will work under your own initiative formulating the best method to produce any given job correctly and within budget.

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, days regular. Flexible working available.
7.30am – 4.30pm: Monday to Thursday
7.30am – 12.30pm: Friday
