CNC Laser Operator

Fab-Tec is a metal fabrication company with over 29 years of experience, serving manufacturers and industrial clients throughout the U.S. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Laser Operator. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the set up and operation of Mitz CO-2 and Amada Fiber Laser Cutting Machines and possess knowledge of quality inspection processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain laser cutting machines.
• Load, install and correctly set up the tools required.
• Select and set up lenses and nozzle based on material type, gas type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Fill out Traveler, time sheets, inspection documents and any other paperwork associated with the part.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in laser cutting operations is required, programming and nesting a plus.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work order instructions.
• HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Pay: DOE

Hours: 6am-4:30pm, M-Th, Fridays as needed
