CNC Lathe Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Engineer to join Pristine Glory Sdn Bhd on a full-time basis at our facility in Pusing, Perak. This is a pivotal position within our Industrial Engineering operations, where you will be responsible for the design, programming, operation and optimisation of CNC lathe machinery. As a CNC Lathe Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision, efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, directly contributing to our commitment to delivering excellence in industrial engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and programme CNC lathe operations, including developing machine code and optimising cutting parameters for various materials and specifications
• Set up, calibrate and operate CNC lathe machinery to produce precision components according to technical drawings and tolerances
• Monitor machine performance during production runs, troubleshoot issues and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of CNC lathe equipment to minimise downtime and maintain operational standards
• Quality assurance and inspection of finished components, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards
• Collaborate with production, design and planning teams to optimise manufacturing processes and resolve technical challenges
• Document operational procedures, machine settings and production data to maintain comprehensive records and support continuous improvement
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process optimisation and recommend enhancements to increase productivity and reduce costs
• Provide technical guidance and support to machine operators when required

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical certification
• Proven experience of 3+ years working with CNC lathe machinery in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment
• Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software
• In-depth knowledge of precision engineering, tolerances, materials and machining processes
• Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment calibration
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance and safety standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Familiarity with Malaysian manufacturing standards and industry practices is advantageous
• Valid driving licence is preferable for the Pusing, Perak location
