CNC Lathe Machine Operator

We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machine Operator to set up and run CNC lathe machines and produce precise metal parts to specification. You should be able to read technical drawings, work to tight tolerances and keep quality high on every batch.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts from drawings and job instructions
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Load programs, choose and install the right cutting tools, and set work offsets
• Load raw material and adjust machine settings for each job
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to keep dimensions and surface finish within tolerance
• Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring tools
• Carry out regular quality checks and report defects or problems promptly
• Change worn tools, and do routine cleaning and basic maintenance on the machine
• Keep the work area clean, organized and safe
• Record production output and keep job records up to date
• Follow company procedures and workshop safety rules

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machine Operator
• Experience with CNC turning of aluminum, steel, stainless steel or brass
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances
• Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
• Knowledge of CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi
• Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code is an advantage
• Ability to set up tools and machines independently
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Willingness to work in shifts if required
• Experience in automotive or accessories manufacturing is an advantage
• Experience in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage
