CNC Lathe Operator

We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Lathe Operator to join our production team. The candidate will be responsible for operating CNC lathe machines, setting up jobs, machining components as per engineering drawings, and ensuring dimensional accuracy and product quality.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of CNC lathe operations, cutting tools, measuring instruments, and machining processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings.
• Perform job setting, workpiece clamping, tool setting, and tool offset adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and component specifications.
• Understand and work with CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
• Select suitable cutting tools and machining parameters for different materials.
• Measure and inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and quality standards.
• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Identify machining defects and report machine or tooling issues to the supervisor.
• Perform tool changes and basic machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain production records and follow production schedules.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the machine shop.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, Machinist, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in CNC lathe operation is preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation, job setting, and tool offsets.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, and M-code.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Good attention to detail, discipline, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
