CNC Lathe Operator

CNC Lathe Operator – $28/Hour

Charlotte, NC | 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm | Full-Time

MLB Workforce is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for a full-time opportunity in the Charlotte area.We are looking for someone with solid hands-on CNC lathe experience who can safely set up and operate equipment, make basic adjustments, and consistently produce quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes / turning equipment
• Load materials and properly position parts
• Perform tooling changes and make basic machine adjustments
• Read and understand blueprints and work specifications
• Monitor machining operations for quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Maintain required dimensions and tolerances
• Identify basic tooling or machining issues
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• Previous CNC lathe experience required
• Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing specifications
• Experience with precision measuring tools
• Understanding of tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds preferred
• Ability to work independently and maintain production standards
• Steel, metal processing, or heavy industrial experience is a plus
• Basic CNC program adjustments/editing are a plus, but advanced CNC programming is not required
