CNC Lathe Programmer/Operator

About the role

Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe machines to perform precision machining according to required dimensions and tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Prepare and adjust CNC programs, tooling, and machine settings
• Perform precision machining according to required dimensions and tolerances
• Inspect finished products using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Troubleshoot basic machine, tooling, and programming issues
• Maintain machine cleanliness, safety, and proper tool handling
• Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical course
• Knowledge of G-code/M-code, CNC programming, and machining processes
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Knowledgeable in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Familiar with cutting tools, tooling setup, speeds, feeds, and machine offsets
• Basic knowledge of machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
• Willing to work in a manufacturing/production environment
• 1 year of relevant experience is preferred
• Experience in CNC lathe programming and machine operation is preferred
