CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of CNC equipment throughout our main and stem shops. This position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, machine adjustments, parts replacement, lubrication, and maintaining equipment to production standards.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on CNC experience, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with FANUC and OSP controls and G-code programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance on CNC machinery and related equipment.
• Develop and follow daily maintenance schedules, including machine cleaning and hydraulic fluid inspections.
• Monitor and maintain the Smart Skim System in the main and stem shops.
• Troubleshoot machinery by observing operation, identifying mechanical issues, and determining repair requirements.
• Inspect, test, replace, and repair defective machine components and attachments.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment following maintenance and repair activities.
• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machinery and controls to support production requirements.
• Lubricate machinery and perform required cleaning and servicing using appropriate tools and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and production-related activities.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of machine parts, tools, and maintenance supplies and submit requisitions as needed.
• Safely move machinery, components, tools, and materials using forklifts, hoists, dollies, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and properly dispose of worn parts and other maintenance waste.
• Work closely with production and maintenance personnel to repair, relocate, and maintain machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of CNC machine experience and/or related training.
• Proficiency with CNC machine controls, including FANUC and OSP.
• Proficiency with industry-standard G-code M-code programming.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes involving both CNC lathes and mills.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in Machine Technology, CNC Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Additional experience in CNC maintenance, machining, mechanical repair, or industrial equipment maintenance.
