CNC Machine Operative

Clearview Glaziers are a leading supplier and installers of high quality windows, doors, and glass products. We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operative to join our busy window and door manufacturing team in Peterborough.

We manufacture large volumes of uPVC windows and doors for commercial and social housing contracts, and we are looking for someone who can operate CNC machinery accurately, efficiently and consistently in a fast paced production environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Setting and operating CNC machinery used in window and door production
• Machining uPVC profiles accurately to production specifications
• Working from production sheets, drawings and cutting information
• Loading and unloading profiles correctly
• Checking measurements before and after machining
• Ensuring drainage, lock preparation, routing and other machining operations are completed correctly
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
• Identifying incorrect or damaged profile before it progresses further through production
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting faults immediately
• Carrying out basic machine checks and routine maintenance
• Keeping the machine and surrounding work area clean and organised
• Working closely with cutting, welding and assembly teams
• Maintaining production targets without compromising quality
• Following all company health and safety procedures

What We Are Looking For

We want someone who:

• Has previous CNC machine operating experience
• Ideally has experience within uPVC window and door manufacturing
• Is confident setting and operating automated machinery
• Can read measurements, production sheets and manufacturing specifications accurately
• Has strong attention to detail
• Can identify machining or profile defects
• Works efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Takes pride in their workmanship
• Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Can work effectively as part of a busy production team

IMPORTANT

This is a key production role and accuracy is essential.

We expect our CNC operators to work right first time, continually check their work and maintain a strong production pace without sacrificing quality.

We are looking for someone who understands that every profile leaving the CNC machine must be correctly machined and ready for the next stage of production.
