I&G Engineering is a precision engineering company based in Neath, producing high-quality machined components for a range of industries. We're looking for a reliable Operator to join our growing team.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Operator to support our skilled machinists — mostly setting up jobs and assisting on the shop floor, helping keep quality and output high while working safely as part of a team.

Day-to-day you'll:

• Help set up jobs and machinery ready for our CNC Machinists
• Load/unload parts and keep machines running smoothly
• Carry out basic quality checks on finished parts
• Assist skilled machinists with day-to-day tasks on the shop floor
• Keep your work area clean, safe, and organised
• Report any faults or issues to your supervisor promptly
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a workshop or engineering environment (desirable, not essential — full training given)
• Willingness to learn setting and assisting on CNC machinery
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
• Basic understanding of measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers) is a bonus
