  • Interpret technical drawings and use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Programme CNC machinery using appropriate software and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials and managing tooling requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished components, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and standards.
  • Inspection of own work using a host of conventional measuring techniques (micrometres; verniers; height gauges, etc).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes and machine settings.
  • Initially working day shift whilst in training, then will move to shift working (rotating 6-2 and 2-10).

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments with hands-on operation of CNC machinery.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to milling, tooling, and materials handling.
  • Competence in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations during setup and production.
  • Experience working with hand tools and understanding of materials properties.
  • Prior exposure to working in a workshop environment involving fabrication is desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to expand their expertise in CNC machining within a supportive team environment.

What We Offer
