CNC Milling Machine Operator - Acacia Ridge

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mazak Milling Machine Operator to join a well-established precision engineering workshop in Acacia Ridge.

This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity working with high-end Mazak equipment in a clean, modern workshop. You will complete varied general engineering work, including components for cement trucks, Franna cranes and defence projects.

• $48 Dayshift , $55 Afternoon shift
• Rate may be negotiable depending on experience
• Temp-to-permanent opportunity
• Four-day working week, Monday to Thursday
• Day shift: 5:55 am-2:20 pm
• Afternoon shift: 2:10 pm-12:10 am
• Clean, modern workshop with high-quality equipment

Your duties will include

• Setting up and operating Mazak CNC milling machines
• Manufacturing high-quality components to specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Completing accurate measurements and quality checks
• Producing repeat components and completing varied general engineering work
• Monitoring machinery and making necessary operating adjustments
• Following all workplace safety and quality procedures

To be successful, you will have

• Previous CNC milling machine experience
• Experience operating Mazak or similar high-end CNC equipment
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Confidence using precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• A good understanding of machining tolerances
• A current LF forklift licence is desirable but not essential
• A safety-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
