Are you a hands-on CNC Machinist who takes pride in creating precision components that keep industry moving? Join our team in Baton Rouge and become part of a company that tackles unique machining challenges, supports critical industrial repairs, and values craftsmanship, innovation, and safety above all else.

This is more than a machine shop role—it's an opportunity to work on custom, one-of-a-kind projects, develop your programming expertise, and grow your career alongside experienced machinists, engineers, and field service professionals.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Work on custom precision parts—not repetitive production runs
  • Utilize advanced CNC equipment and CAD/CAM programming
  • Collaborate with engineers and skilled trades professionals
  • Expand your programming, setup, and machining capabilities
  • Join a safety-first culture where your expertise is valued
  • Opportunities for overtime and career growth

Requirements What You'll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality precision components while continuously improving processes and machining strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers and turning centers
  • Develop machining processes, tooling selections, setups, and part programs for custom projects
  • Machine components to moderate tolerances (±0.005") while maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Manufacture custom precision components supporting large industrial repair projects
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, field service teams, and supervisors to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods
  • Optimize CNC programs, tooling, and machining processes for quality and productivity improvements
  • Set up and operate CNC boring mills, lathes, and machining centers
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Complete quality documentation and inspection records accurately
  • Uphold and promote a culture where safety is always the highest priority

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years of CNC machining experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Experience operating CNC machining equipment and performing setups
  • Knowledge of feeds, speeds, cutting tools, and machining practices
  • Ability to inspect and verify dimensions including diameters, lengths, flatness, and straightness
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and conversational programming
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman certification or 2-year Technical Degree
  • Experience with Haas machining centers (vertical, horizontal, and/or turning)
  • Experience with G&L boring mills
  • Experience with G & M code programming
  • CAM software experience, preferably Mastercam
  • Familiarity with carbide drills, end mills, inserted cutters, and boring tooling
  • Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Experience using Faro CMM or advanced metrology equipment

The Ideal Candidate

You are a problem solver who enjoys transforming raw material into precision components. You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, take ownership of your work, and are always looking for ways to improve efficiency, quality, and performance.

Most importantly, you believe that safety, precision, and teamwork are the foundation of exceptional work.

Ready to Take Your CNC Career to the Next Level?
