CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Details:

• You will be responsible for the operation of CNC machines during our 2nd shift.
• You will be provided with drawings and work travelers so we expect strong reading/math skills and proper interpretation of drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
• Knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds and work methods is critical.
• We expect our machinists to inspect and verify parts by using precision gages including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gages.
• We expect you to maintain equipment and perform required PM's to insure proper operation of equipment and keep your area clean and orderly to support 6S initiatives.
• Work with quality and management to resolve all issues
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following procedures and wearing appropriate Personal protection equipment.
• We will require you work within AS9100 procedures and expect continuous process improvement involvement to refine our procedures.
• We encourage you to improve job knowledge by participating in educational classes pertaining to your job requirements.

Job Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a job shop environment preferred.
• A mixture of short run and high volume setup experience.
• Able to work independently with minimal training or supervision
• Successful experience training and mentoring younger machinists is desirable
• Machining experience with CNC Machining Centers and lathes preferred

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Three years up to date related experience working in a Machine Shop preferred.
• Technical Degree preferred
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and utilize GD&T proficiently

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
