CNC Machinist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, programming, and setting up advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards while optimizing efficiency and maintaining safety protocols. Our company utilizes, 4 Axis Horizontal Machining, 2 Axis Vertical Machining and a CNC lathe

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Load raw materials, mount cutting tools into spindles, and secure work pieces into fixtures, vises, or chucks.
• Programming & Editing: Download or write programs via Manual Data Input (MDI) and adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets on Okuma OSP controls.
• Quality Control: Measure parts using precision instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify tight tolerances.
• Maintenance & Safety: Monitor tool wear, perform basic daily machine upkeep, and keep the work area clean

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 2 to 5+ years of CNC operating and setup experience, specifically with Okuma machinery and controls.
• Technical Reading: Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Math Skills: Practical use of algebra and trigonometry for machining calculations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally use overhead cranes or forklifts
