CNC Machinist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines to produce precision metal components and parts. Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using HAAS and Mazatrol control systems to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
• Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters for optimal performance
• Program CNC machines utilizing G-code, M-code, CAM programming software, and Mazatrol controls to ensure accurate machining processes
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately, applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for precise manufacturing
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Perform manual machining tasks when necessary using hand tools, grinders, lathes, or mills to support production or troubleshoot issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts and power tools as needed for material handling and setup

Requirements

• Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or equivalent systems
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAM software is highly desirable
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately
• Proficiency with measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining tools, tooling setups, fixtures, and manual machining techniques
• Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances in machining operations
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction in production workflows
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour
