CNC Machinist/Programmer

We are looking for a hands-on machinist who can independently program, set up, and machine parts on CNC equipment, while also confidently operating manual machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components
• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using appropriate programming methods and software
• Perform machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and boring
• Operate manual machines, including manual lathes and milling machines
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Select appropriate cutting tools, work holding devices, speeds, and feeds
• Perform machine setups, tool changes, and tool offset adjustments
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting quality and delivery requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist and CNC Programmer.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, including G-code and M-code.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably Mastercam/SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with CNC milling and turning centres, as well as manual lathes and milling machines.
• Knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement techniques.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Machining apprenticeship, relevant trade certification, or technical education is an asset.
